>I heard about this art center and the danger to it through an email alert that I get about tapestry weaving. This is a petition to save it from being inundated by rising water from poor maintenance of a nearby drainage canal and also from a massive wave of construction in a nearby town. I hope that they can save this art center! An excerpt from the petition is below.

The survival of the Art Centre in Harrania, for whose adobe workshops and galleries Ramses Wissa Wassef won the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1983, is seriously threatened by rising water.
