>Planning a trip on the Silk Road

>For several weeks now, I’ve been planning a trip on the Silk Road. I’ve been doing quite a lot of reading on it, in order to get an idea of what cities and sites I want to visit. It was a network of trade routes that extended from China to Europe. It was opened for trade in the second century BC by the Chinese general Zhang Qian, and was important in trade for many centuries afterwards.

This trip will take a while to plan. It will also require saving. I intend to go next fall. I will be using the skills I learned in the travel writing workshop to write about my experiences traveling.
